My name is Jo Teague and I am a sleep consultant offering one to one advice and workshops for adults. I offer advice on how to get a better night’s sleep based on education about the science of sleep and a Cognitive Behavioural approach.
I am an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years experience of treating people with a broad range of physical and acquired disabilities/chronic conditions. For most of the people that I see, their disability impacts on their ability to sleep. Over the years I have developed a special interest in sleep, not only for individuals with a disability/chronic illness but also for the general population.
I am a member of the British Sleep Society. I have undertaken cognitive behavioural therapy – insomnia (CBTi) training and base my assessment and treatment along these lines. I offer a gentle and practical approach to working with you to find a solution to the sleep difficulties that you have.
The information that I provide is suitable for all individuals with a mild sleep disorder and can be tailored to specific needs on a one to one basis. I do not diagnose sleep disorders and will refer on anyone with a more complex disorder that requires specialist advice.
